I just searched his name and found it . . . looks pretty solid, maybe tear it appart, and get the bores checked?

All your gaskets will work fine on the 6.0, the gaskets are very durable. I would atleat do a cam now since it is so much easier. Since you got a 2wd swapping a tc would only take about 2 hours if that. Atleast put some good springs on it, thats what takes the longest on a cam swap. You could do just a cam swap in about 3 hours including draining the coolant which is the biggest PITA cleaning up.

I appreciate all the help and info a ton guys. Tootall, in all humility and honesty I don't have a clue how to tear down a block and check if there is anything wrong. I'll really be learning off of my "much more tech savvy" friends who are helping me out since they've done LS1 swaps before. Mwalls54 said the shortblock has been re-ringed and honed though.

Heck yeah Charles, two RCSB 2006 6.0l's in the city. It'll be nice to surprise some of the people at that Tuesday night meet.

Hey no problem, I was going to suggest if you're going to sink in some money into an unknow miliage engine, to have some things checked out, but you're already ahead, if it's been honed
