I'm thinkin you have an LQ9 Like mentioned above, pull a spark plug out of it and see if you can see if the piston is dished or flat top...If you do some searching you should be able to find a cheap bore-scope. I've seen battery powered ones advertised...it looks like a long bendy flashlight but you put your eye up to one side of it and it magnifies what you're looking at. You can stick it right in the spark plug hole and take a look...

Sierra C3 had the LQ4 and those covers. Check the piston and youll know. Avalanche had no 6.0 anyway. Is the seller "special??"
