Question LQ4 DD friendly Cam?

Looking a for a good DD friendly cam for my FBO lq4 also have stock 243 heads to match the cam, for truck in my sig, using 4l80e w/ 3.90 gears, want the truck to run 12's NA.

CAI, full 3" exhaust LT headers, UDP, eFans, TBSS intake, tune current mods...

I run a very similar setup to your truck minus the 243 heads (less compression on my truck) and I run the EPS 222/226 cam. This is essentially a better, newer version of the venerable TR224. I drive it everyday. It has great low and mid range power and pretty decent up top. It has a bit of a lopey idle. I think you will like it.

I am planning on installing a Magnacharger on top of this shortly and I think it will run well.

216/224 should make you happy.

The issue you will see here is what people's tolerance for cams are and still be "daily driven" I chose my cam (with the help of Geoff @ EPS) because I have a 4WD truck which is somewhere around 400 lbs heavier than the 2WD version and I do truly use my truck as a daily driver. Would I like to be 12's NA...sure, but that is not why I put this cam in my truck. I wanted a fun street truck with good "all around" power and I think I have achieved that. Because of this, I am looking for more "all around" power and am planning on adding a Magnacharger.

I think high 12's would not be a problem, if you can hook, and have a good tune.

tr224 is an excellent choice. had it in a lq4 with 243s with a 3200 stall and 3.73s. what stall will you be using?
