lpp longtubes with no tune??? (yet)

sprayed mine down with pb for 3 days before i put the headers on, no problems with any of the bolts. but then look where i'm from, no harsh winter roads here. the truck ran pretty poorly before getting tuned, zero grunt below 3500 rpm and that was with 2.5" collectors.

i had no problems with mine either, as far as the bolts i did run into fitment issues here is a detail thread i made when i put mine on.. GL

So the gaskets that come with the kit Are junk? I can just re use the stock ones? Never done that before!

The ones provided are usually junk and not worth the effort of getting them on... reuse the stock ones if they arent fubar.


And the soaking in PB sounds like the smart thing to do, days in advance...

Chevy has upgraded bolts you can buy. I had a small exhaust leak and luckily I got all the bolts out. I had to go to 2 dealerships to source all the bolts.

I have access to grade 8 hardware at work... Think I'll just grab some for the new headers... What size will I need?
