Default lowered truck looking for longtubes need help.

i will be getting some lts real real soon and as of right i'm debating on these obx OBX Header GMC Tahoe Yukon 4.8L 5.3L 1500 99-06,OBX Racingsport Header or the famous pacesetter's. well my question is with me being lowered 3/6 will either one of these hang under frame, i don't want to spend money on them and one day hit a bump and tear them up because my truck is to low

I run the pacesetters. The collectors don't hang below the frame rails. I can't speak for the OBX.

I run Kooks... can't say for sure but I'd say i'm lowered about 3" up front as well... any issue you will have does not lie with the collector but the crossover/Y pipe. I have scraped lightly before if I didn't take a parking lot entry/exit at the right angle.

It's nothing that would scare me away from going with LT's again i'll tell you that much!

as stated above, the headers wont hang below the frame at all, it just depends on the y pipe/crossover under the trans. with that being said, i have had lt's ypipe on my truck for over 5 years now with no issues besides scraping the crossover every now and then

Would it be possible section/raise the crossmember to get a little bit more space

Why would you want to cut/modify a frame/cross-member to fit exhaust? It generally goes the other way around... path of least resistance. I say slap them on or do a test fit. I really don't think you'll encounter as big of an issue you may think you'll have.

Also it's more then just a X-member... were talking transmission here as well.

I have the obx LT's and they don't hang below the frame at all. You might look into the new calspeed headers and the tsp LT's also

cal speed is still out, should have some soon, TSP does not come with y's either. LPP, well, I am sure they work fine, but I will not recommend them to anyone due to the sellers **** poor tactics.
