Default Low impedance injectors

Looking at switching to an Acceleronics VersaFueler low impedance injector system. Anyone have experience with the low impedance injectors? I've heard they are much better at idle and part throttle when the injector pulse is very small. Heard that high impedance injectors are not matched well at all because of the opening and closing rates at low load.

I don't know about low impedance injector stuff but, do know that 57lb/hr @ 43.5psi Siemens high impedance injectors drive/idle fine in a basically stock 5.3L. They actually seemed better than the stock injectors and the SVO 42# injectors that were on the same engine.

How big of an injector were you looking at?

Jeff @ Acceleronics recommended either the 83# or 96# injectors. They are the same price.

Damn, that is a whole lot of injector.

The biggest high z injectors I've heard of are 75# units. Don't hear much about them because by that time most people just change up to low z.

Dont wanna run out and the diff between the low z 75s and the 96s was nothing when ordering them through acceleronics so why not.

I dont know hardly anything about tuning I just know the pulse width of the injector will have to be shortened whether there is a table for that or adjusting the A/F ratio via the VE table. It would just require you retuning the whole damn thing pretty much since your injectors will be flowing twice as much at a given pulse width.
