Default lopey cam plus stock exhaust

I realize that just about everyone puts on a aftermarket exhaust before opening up the engine, but what about putting a "lopey" cam in first. How much would the stock exhaust quiet it down?

I think the stock exhaust's restrictiveness would circumvent much of the power to be gained. Not sure but I would also guess as rpm increased this would only become worse/more power loss. Putting a good free flowing exhuast would really make it run circles around a stock exhaust with this combo in it already. If it were me I'd do the exhaust first then the other. JMHO

Yeah, most put a good exhaust on before or at the same time as a cam install. Cant really get the benefits of a cam without getting more air in and out.

I would get headers, gears and a tune then get a cam after all of that.
