Default Looking for torque converters for 4l60E

I am looking for torque converters for a 97 c/k1500 5.7L with a 4l60E. it is my cousins truck and has run a best of 9.49@74.6 in the 1/8 with 3.08 gears and an open rear end. we have thought about the 4.3 torque converter as a good friend in the tranny business recommends these highly. however, my cousin is looking for more stall, maybe in the 2800-3000 range.

my question is, what seems to be the best stall range for this motor/tranny combo and what brand? i know he doesnt want to shell the money for something like a Precision or yank..........

Your cousin might also need some 3.42 gears for truck. I have some.
