Default Looking for the next best thing

I know this questions been asked a million times but i have to do it also. My sig fully explains everything ive done to my 99 5.3 silverado so far. I just finished with the underdrive pullies and e-fans this weekend. But now im thinkinh what next. Whats the best bang for my buck. Ive thought about new heads but i had got a decent amount of money into my current heads due to having to upgrade the valves and springs for my cam so id rather not replace them but ive thought about port and polish my heads, ive heard nnbs or tbss intakes are fairly cheap and good for these trucks but i dont want to loose torque if possible. I do alot of four wheeling. What about 1.8 roller rocker arms but will the valves clear with my heads being milled 30 thous. Sorry for the long winded question, im just kind of stuck right now on where to go. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Im looking for something in the $500 or less range if possible. As in no super charger at this time.

Dont bother with the 1.8 rockers, not worth it.

A TBSS intake would be good, but you would have to buy an aftermarket throttle body (need 4 bolt) and fab a cable bracket. Some 4.56 gears would work very well.

I wouldn't do the rockers either, it would probably introduce more problems then help. AI think either a nitrous kit or some gears would be the best way to go. It seems you are running out of things to do that 5.3l motor.

Gears is a great suggestion , also a good torque converter will better manage the power you have .

Man I didn't notice the lack of converter. I would go for that above anything else, they always help as far as performance goes.

Nitrous or converter are your best bets. Maybe even both...... A converter Somewhere in the 3000-3600 rpm range is what I would recomend.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think i need to go with a higher stall and lower gears. I dont think the I6 Tb converter is high enough. Anyone know someone with a 3000 for sale.
