Default Looking for a good muffler!

i am re-doing my exhaust, anyone have a good muffler with a 3" inlet, and a single 3" outlet. Or anyone know where i can get a deal? The muffler needs to have the inlet and outlet in line. Also, i would really like a corsa muffler, is it possible to find just the muffler? thanks- Allan

its rare to find the corsa muffler only. i found one and it costed the crap outa me, but i love it. magnaflow and hooker are the big names around here and they both have 3" in and out applications. do a search and try and listen to as many different exhaust combos at g2g's.

Default Hooker max flow

I did the same thing to mine and i love it. I turned it down over the axle. Kind of a sleeper till you poke on it. It really sounds off then!!! Oh and theyre pretty cheap too.

hooker aerochamber is a good one.
just get the center in/out and you can see right through the muffler.
quiet with cats and kind of loud with out cats.

I agree with what is stated above about the magnaflow or hooker mufflers. I have had both on the same truck and liked them both. The Aerochamber has a little better rumble but the magnaflow had less ressonance and was stainless. Its a toss up. I could get you a 3 inch in/out for your truck to suit your needs.

The corsa muffler will be nice but you will have a hard time finding just the muffler. Good luck and if you decide on a magnaflow or hooker please pm me for the best price.

Is a 3" in/out to big for a stock 4.8? How does the aero chamber and magnaflow drone compair?

I have a 6"RD 14" Body 18" Length 3"CI/CO Magnaflow Muffler. I had a slight drone until i cut the tail pipe off after the axle. Now its Silent, Sounds like stock until you get on the gas. and i dont have the goofy lookin tail pipe anymore..
But i think mine was $65. and i chopped the factory muffler off and welded this one in there. and it looks clean.

But thats just my 2cents.
