Default looking for decent a/f guage - gadgetseller?

http://gadgetseller.com/gauges/

While its not by any means a wideband, it does seem to make more sense for WOT tuning. I have heard some Lighnting guys say that they are pretty accurate - has anyone used one? Would it work with the stock o2 sensor?

I am more interested in it as a safety precaution rather then precise tuning at this point. I'd like to just know that I am not running too rich or too lean.

i use to have one of the autometer ones on my truck but i installed it AFTER i took my cats off so it was never really very accurate, it just read rich as hell most of the time. i have the autometer silver face one for sale if you want it though.

having or not having cats would make no diference, i would put the money toward atap, you can monitor the 02's along with alot of other stuff.

If you want accurate a/f don't order one that uses the factory o2s. I am about to order a FJO wideband, I hear good things about them.
The factory o2s are not very good outside of 13.0 to 15.0 a/f. That is what they are designed to do. They read between 0-1volt and a wideband 0-5volts.

If my Predator can monitor my o2 sensors.......is that a decent way to determine roughly what my a/f is? if it is in the 13.9-15.9 range, would that method be ok? And also.........what A/f ratio should I be looking for to get the most but safest power?

i dont know about the stated a/f ratios with the predator but if you can get the 02 voltages to come up you can get a prety close tune. just have to ask around and see what voltage you should be for a given set up. it wont be dead on but you can make sure you are in a sefe zone.

Thanks Jim - yeah thats what it reads is the o2 sensor voltage. I read somewhere on this site that between 800 and 920 was the safe zone, any less is lean and more is rich

800 sounds a little low to me but i was always messing with a blown set up, i tried to keep it above .900.

i dont remember your exact set up, tell us exactly what ya got and someone will know what to shoot for. or maybe it is as simple as na shoots for a range and not na shoots for a higher range.

whats the deal with these cheaper wide bands, how are they working and exactly how much do they cost?
