Default Looking at a 4.8L

Does anyone have one with some mods, or maybe some vids/pics of one??? I am looking at getting a 03 with the 4.8 and was wanting to get some ideas on mods.

Thanks,

Jon

There is absolutly no point in modding a 4.8L. It is a waste of time and money. Also there is no way one can every run 11's.

Oh wait a minute. I did

4.8 is a real underdog. I love it.

The magnacharger radix comes with tuning and yes it is the most complete kit out there. The tune is very conservative though. If you run 93 ocatane all the time tuners have been known to get 40rwhp just out of a tune. I highly recommend a 3.25" pulley on a stock motor It comes with a 3.7"

If you are gogin to do a 4.8L, you have to use a turbo on it. Spools good, makes all kinds of silly power and you will never really run out of power.

I've said this before but I would have bought a Livernois turbo if I knew they existed when I bought my radix.

99' GMC 4.8 here.......
Just a 4.8/auto/3.73/CAI/predator tune and cat back. Not bad for 96k+ miles of trailering, log hauling and driving it hard......wanted a base line prior to the mods..
Here is a dyno of the above as it sits

Then comes the KENNE BELL Intercooler set-up........
