STEP AWAY FROM THE HYPERTECH. I put one on mine, and slowed down!! I sold it and got a new '02 PCM tuned for $157.70 shipped to my door, and if I send back a PCM, or would have gotten mine tuned, it would have been $75 less. It isn't as good as a dyno tune, but way better than any handheld tuner. Check wait4me performance.

Third~ Where are you located. I know that the only way to get a vehicle tuned especially a FI one you need to have someone tune it in person. Out here is one of the best LS1-Edit tuners in the nation and he knows how to get some serious power out of a 4.8L. Trust me i know

 

I'm in Houston Texas...i am gonna get with MTI and see if they can do anything....

 

8ALTNG really knows how to make a 4.8 move Do a search for 01Thunder, he's a member here with a healthy 4.8 also.

I don't think you get it. For basically the same price you can get a lifetime full of custom tunes from someone there local like Nelson etc. There is only one thing that is worth $400+ that you can hold in your hand and be happy when you done is a piece of
