ok put longtubes on my truck last night and went to make a vid but ouldnt get it to remote start? my best guess would be because the engine light is on due to no rear o2's in it right nowm if thats so then im ok with that till i get the tune and they turn it off

 

i dont see how a SES light will make it not remote start but ive seen some weird shii before so maybe so. is your LTs resting on the power wire or the ignition wire? if its close id move them out the way

 

nope see i made sure of that before i put the wheel well back in.. its actually got couple inches and its coated so, plus i dont see the first start not working... but idk ill check it again just to be sure... they really dont give you much room with the cable on where to put it.. only other thing was the spark plug wires were taken off but that doesnt have anything to do with it i kno for sure..

 

also is one manifold seperated between the two center bolts on one side? i think my pass. side factory manifold was split right in between the two..

 

The check engine light wont allow it to remote start.

Get the tune to fix it. and it will work again.

 

factory remote start will not work if the check engine light is on

 

Is your hood closed when you try to start it with the remote? If its open, it wont start. I did the same thing when I installed my headers.

 

oh... i was using the aftermarket remote start. Factory remote start sucks

 

I SAID IT FIRST lol.

It see the CEL as a problem and will not allow the truck start like that. Just a factory setting to have pre cautions.
