I was looking at the kits for the avalanche and they are pretty much all the same pics for every kit. I am probably gonna find another Y and do some cuttin and weldin to make it all work.
You could buy the dynatech y-pipe with high flow cats. It's a bit pricey though, or have some cats welded to the obx y-pipe before you install it.

Collectors and all piping is 2.5"...end of Y pipe is 3" and mates stock catback piping perfectly."

This is regarding the OBX headers that come with the y-pipe off ebay, just curious as to whether or not these are the same. Just so you know where I was coming from.
They're not the same. These are actually OBX branded headers, and when I first got them I remember measuring them and noting that they were larger than 1 5/8". I can't say for sure that they were 1 3/4" because I wasn't using calipers, but they looked to be on the tape measure.

Not to mention there has been some debate (even on this site) as to exactly how primary header PIPE is measured. If you Google it, you'll see varying opinions as to whether a 1.75" header is measured from OUTSIDE or INSIDE of the actual pipe. When I measured by Ebay headers, as quoted above, I measured them from the INSIDE with very accurate reading caliper.

Some say headers are measured externally, and some say internally. All I could do is provide the internal measurement of the Ebay headers I bought.

Internally, the Ebay headers measured exactly 1.625", which is indeed 1-5/8".

Hope this helps...
