Yeah, they turn purple just like any other stainless headers that aren't coated.

I do have a question though. I got the suburban ones, O2 bungs in the collectors.

Wont I be deleting my first two cats? I know I will have to fab or get fabbed a Y to fit these headers but will I have some serious issues with O2s and stuff? This may be stupid but i honestly dont know because previous to this truck I have been a pre emission car owner, carbed mustangs and such.

I got a guy who will add me to his HPtuners for $200 and tune it for me.

You will be losing your cats but as long as your tuner knows what he's doing you should be fine. All you have to do is turn off your rear o2s because they will throw codes if you don't due to not having cats.
Goodluck!! :-)

Well again the whole code throwing etc etc is new to me. Actually my service engine light is currently on and stays on...maybe 277,000 miles has something to do with it. IDK.

Anyways, dont wanna jack the thread. Cats will be removed. Im gonan have to do some fabbing, these are the ones i got.

So do these have the smaller than advertised primaries like the previous ebay OBX's did or are they a true 1 3/4"?

From the Ebay/OBX install write up...

"Some details/opinions...
Headers have 1-5/8" primary tubes, measured with dial caliper from inside, although advertised as 1-3/4"
Collectors and all piping is 2.5"...end of Y pipe is 3" and mates stock catback piping perfectly."

This is regarding the OBX headers that come with the y-pipe off ebay, just curious as to whether or not these are the same. Just so you know where I was coming from.
