Default Long tubes on 5.3

Just a few questions for you guys here.. Ive been shopping for long tubes for a hot minute now, and im looking for best bang for my buck AND longevity. I have seen texas speed has thier SS long tubes for a very attractive price. Also pacesetters ceramics for a few bucks more. Would buying the ceramic coated really do much for me here as far as keeping under the hood heat down? Or can I just wrap the tubes and acheive the same. Or maybe just not even worry about it at all? Also, what kind of real numbers can I see with out having it tuned. Gas mileage increase or decrease? My o2s are taking a poop on me now as I have noticed 2-3 mpg drop already.. Thanks

I'd get the stainless and wrap them. Stainless will always last longer than mild steel, especially if you're in a state that they salt the roads.

Your mileage won't change much with longtubes alone. Unless you get the y-pipe with rear O2 bungs, you'll either have to weld some in, or have your truck tuned to delete the rear O2s.
