Default Long Tubes on a 4wd

Everyone I've talked to told me to get a set of long tube Pacesetter headers. Will they fit on a 4wd, or do I have to get shortys? What is the difference?

Shorty's are good for about 5rwhp and long tubes are good for maybe 12-15rwhp.
