i bought some pacesetters from them thinking i could put them on my 4x4 then just sold them on ebay for 350.00 and still have the y-pipe texas speed is the cheapest you will find i looked

i figured that. i just wonder if it would be cheaper to get my exhaust shop to do my y-pipe for me

ive heard of guys that had to fight the y-pipe on the pacesetter headers they say it dont line up right... just for your heads up

either way im going to have to make a trip to the exhaust shop to get it the way i want. might as well not buy the y-pipe and get dual 3'' pipe all the way with a x-pipe

What brand did you go with, I had ASM's on my truck their was a guy on LS1truck.com that had set for sale pretty cheap. You will enjoy the L/T's a lot better and the tone of them.

My headers were spread about 3/4" wider than the y pipe. All I had to do was wrap a ratchet strap around the headers and pull them together a little and it all slipped right on. It was much easier than everyone makes it out to be. If your heads are angle milled they would probably line up just fine. That may be the reason they are done that way cause it is easier to pull them together than push them apart. Just a hunch but I doubt they had that much insight.
