lm7 performance build

What's your budget?
Can be done very "easy" with a turbo setup.
I'd recommend some stronger connecting rods for sure if the goal is over 600hp.
Trick turbo kit or KB racing turbo kit, 80lbs injectors, ISky triple 12 cam/new lifters/pushrods, stronger rods, other misc. stuff to go with it. A beefy transmission like a 4L80e. There is a ton of different ways you could go here with cam selection and all that crap, this was just an example of what could make 600hp.

I built the LM7 that came in my truck and ran it for 4 years without ever taking a valve cover off. Probably 100 or so passes at the track and 3000-4000 hard street miles. Shift points where 7200 rpm. The majority of its life it was probably putting down 600 or so at the tire, then the last 1/4 of its life it was probably closer to 700-750 rwhp. I did it with a blower and still on the stock block, crank and 706 heads. Eagle rods, Mahle pistons, Comp valve train, Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake and a D1sc Procharger.
