checked the oil and its normal color and consistency, never looked at the filter. this coming week i will be replacing my heads with a milled set, and i have a set of LS7 replacement lifters to be going in too, also a set of used, but half current mileage rockers to be put on as well, i will also be replacing the oil pick up tube gasket in hopes that this will alleviate the problem. i might be able to get a better look at things and possible damage to the cylinders when the heads are off. i just hope im not totally screwed. if i am then, family, call off this christmas gifts, i need a new motor.
