Default lifter noise

How many of you have lifter noise after swapping out the stock cam? (not the normal sewing machine sound)

I have this on my 01 and have not done any cam swaps. My 02 did not get any lifter noise after cam swap.

If you made a cam swap and upgraded the springs and pushrods, then the noise is coming from the valvetrain. Pretty standard with a cam/spring upgrade.

I've had lifter and other engine noises just about forever...after the cam swap I started listening too closely and thinking too much. All of a sudden these noises that were always there started bothering me and I started wondering "was it always this loud?". I should have been asking myself "do I always listen this closely?"...once I figured it out I started listening to the radio again.
