L92 intake on 99-02
#1
So im doing ls3 heads and an l92 intake setup on my 01 GMC. If you dont know there is a problem with attaching a cable driven 92mm on these intakes. There is a problem with it sealing with the gasket since there is not enough material on the bottom of the throttle bodies. I have heard of solutions for this such as making an adapter plate or welding extra material on the bottom of the throttle body itself. Well while I was a Scoggin Dickey today we took a look at one of there throttle bodies they have for sale. Its a 102mm. come to find out it has just enough to completely seal on the intake.
So of course i picked one up. Also they are the same price as their Nick Williams 92mm which was a plus!
Heres a few pics of the intake with it installed. This may help with problems for the l92 or maybe the tbss intakes if your wanting to run a cable driven throttlebody. Let me know what you think.
