Default L33 vs LM7 bore capacity?

I recently read in a magazine that the L33 could be only be overbored to build a 5.7 but no bigger (stroke not included). Anyone know how big you can bore the LM7? Tip

Does that mean the LM7 can be bored larger than the L33?

Yes, the the L33 ( I think ) is the all aluminum version of the LM7? If so the LM7 iron block can be bored out from 3.78" to 3.905" and use the 5.7L pistons ( the cranks are identical in the 5.3, 5.7, and 6.0 ). The all aluminum version is not at bore friendly unless someone knows more about the sleeves it uses. Peek at my signature for more.
I sonic checked pre-post, the thinnest post was 0.157" so I would not recommend more. Opened up options on pistons as the cost of the bore/machine work was offset by what I would have paid for custom 3.78" pistons.

anyone know if one can buy the l33 as a complete motor from GM, or alternatively as a shortblock, then switch heads and other accesories over? I see the regular 5.3 4.8 6.0 listed on gmpartsdepot.com but nothing else??
