Something about horsepower on the floor ... where have I heard that before?
Glad to know you got some of it on the truck though. I'm getting excited about the race. I'm picking up my slicks tomorrow as well as maybe some race pipes.

Greg, I'm interested to see if you run fster with the cutouts open or closed. Try it both ways.
As far as Jaysons Edit is concerned, his cable would work to read your truck. My cable will read all model cars and trucks. Thats the actual programmer application. The Edit app is specific per vehicle and year model. Anyway, Jayson should have been able to connect and download your PCM, but if he tried to actually upload a program, it would have failed. FWIW - I downloaded a locked Ed W PCM, just couldn't open it for editing. So if neither your cable nor his cable works, then its your PCM. Test your laptop and cable on amother new GM vehicle. You can read them, but it gets locked to the first PCM you atually program. So you could test download without worries.
When we first tried to tune the Escalade, it wouldn't connect. Sent the cable back to carputing, nothing wrong with it but it still didn't work. Tried a tuners cable, same thing. This was using a benchtop harness. We could connect with a Tech2, but not edit. Finally got carputing on the phone and after some time logging the failed communications, we were able to get the connection to work properly using the same cable that had not worked previously.

I keep wondering if the Predator has the PCM fugged up. I've been in contact with Ken and sent him a log comm. I guess I could try it on my stepfathers 5.3. After the shootout though. Are you going?

Something better get fixed quick. My inspection is due next month and right now, there is no way it will pass the sniff test as rich as it is. Whipple is waiting on edit. 4 or 5 weeks later would suck for me. I'm taking vacation to go as it is, so if it's scheduled on another work weekend for me, I won't be there.
