Default K&N oil on an Airaid filter?

Is this safe to do?

I noticed the Airaid oil comes in a squirt bottle, and the K&N comes in an aerosol can. Is there any difference besides the bottle? K&N oil is all that is available locally. Has anyone done this?

Thanks.

when you wash out the filter element just make sure you don't use pressurized water like the instructions say not to. It'll mess up the filter in the long run.

its fine...i used the k&n cleaner on my volant filter since i didnt feel like ordering one online and waiting...just dyes your filter red.

The aerosol can get put quite a bit out in a little spray so be aware of that, i've had to clean my maf off a couple of times from the excess oil :/
