50 hp by butt dyno! Na just kiddin prolly true dyno hp with a tune about 5-8 hp. Shooting high! most guys say a stock box with drop in filter and a tube from a aftermarket cai will work just as well if not better! cooler iat's

You'll gain some noise when you open the throttle

On back to back dyno runs I picked up 10 rwhp by popping open the stock airbox lid. There was a fan blowing on the box, but Im skeptical if this approximates real world air flow to the box. Anyways, there's also power to be had in the stock intake tube...so I'm guessing a completely optimized intake setup will make about 15 rwhp over the stock setup. I'd go with a 4" intake tube and a huge dry conical filter. I'd like to go to this setup myself but I don't know if there are any issues with water saturation of an open element filter???

A 4 inch intake tube wouldn't help much....you still have the reg size MAF to run the air through choking it back down.(assuming your not running a SD tune)
I run the K&N but I just did it because it cleans it up under the hood and for the lower IAT's.
