Default k&n intake filter

i have the full K&N intake, can i replace the oiled air filter with a dry element from another company? it always gets over oiled and then i get a MAF code. im out of the oil so just wonder if its better to go buy a dry element filter or rebuy the oil for the K&N and continue to use it.

Sure you can, just measure your filter and see what the other companies have to offer. I replaced my Volant oiled filter with a dry one from Amsoil
