If the 2005 has efans, which I assume it does, the heat shield from the older k and n kit wont fit right. The larger radiatior is to blame. You will either have to replace the heat shroud or modify it to fit.

I personaly have not had to deal with the problem but I sold my old k and n to someone that had a 3/4 ton with the larger radiator. He said he couldnt make it fit. I have heard of a few guys around here making them fit on their trucks. Probably nothing more than a little bending and cutting.

I have a 2004 Airaid kit my 05 with E-fans and it fits good but the kit is made for a big fan shroud and not E-fans. So there is a Gap and kind of looks funny under the hood but like I said it fits well and performs well I didn't have to make any modifications to the kit.

It definitely won't fit a 34" radiator without modification, but it can be made to fit. Both tdrumm and I had to modify our K&N's to clear our 34" rads and 05 efans. You can either cut a notch in the K&N heat shield, or do some cutting and bending without removing any of the heat shield. I unfortunately don't have any pics of mine before I sold it and bought the Volant which clears with no issues.
