Default K&n install help with rubber.

Ok I installed a K&N cai the other day and wow you can feel a difference with throttle response. Now for some reason im always at 80 mph cruising and catch myself having to slow down, dont need anymore tickets, lol. My question is the rubber that is on both sides of the radiator is to direct air through the radiator? If so the pass side has come loose and the air can now get to my cai when it rains will the cai suck in water? If so has anyone used the wrap from K&N for pwc? is it worth the $35? If the rubber needs to be there how can I reattach it?

I've got a dry charger on my car. Might be able to find it cheaper through amazon, ebay, or some parts site with a coupon. I think mine was 20-25 or something, but that was for a smaller filter.

The thing is that I don't think a truck would suck in much water unless you are going through some big puddles.

The car had a gap between the inner fender and sheet metal. Silicone any gaps and test it with a garden hose.
