Default just thinking

I haven't read anything on here about anybody putting a 8.1 in a 1500. Anybody done it? Or is it even really possible/worth it?

Default I asked about this ..

a while back and they said the truck that advertizes for goodmark hoods i think it is.. has the 8.1. You would have to put a whole new front end on the half ton. The big block is wider than the frame allows.

it's been done. I don't know the specifics on it though. I think I saw it on "Trucks" or some show like that. Guy swapped a 8.1 into a rcsb along with a 5spd tranny. It would be awesome to have, but it would be a ton of work.
