of course not slow, I just pointing out I don't think the gibbs truck is special even in the performance since it cost so much $$. If you ever get a free Radix you can send it my way for the VHO

Thanks for all the info. As good as those Gibbs wheels look, I'm going to pass. They had an introductory special for them in Autoweek for $1600 for the wheels/tires.

As far as the blower goes, as nice as it sounds, I'd rather do a head/cam package on my C5 for the same money and get deep into the 11's. Running a blower on a heavy truck would just require tranny work sooner rather than later. Before you know it, the $$$ starts piling up really fast.

Extended Cabs aren't slow either. Stock 3.4 pulley with TOG's. 13.72@99.28. Not to metion I have a fat sound system and metal bed cover. My cousin and brother both have 04 VHO's and I can give them 2 trucks on me and still fly by them. Stock VHO's run high 14's low 15's ona good day. I'm over a second faster than a VHO, don't really think that is too slow for just a blower and headers.

Less then 4,000 miles on my JGP Silverado and the transmission went out. 3rd one that the dealer has fixed. JGP replaced the stcok 4L60E with the 4L65-E transmission.

Welcome to the site. I think you are the first Gibbs truck owner to show up.

The 65E has been holding up pretty well for most of the SS truck guys with blowers. Of course if you thrash it, it won't last. But mine has given some nice 4 wheel burnouts without problems so far.
