no torque sequence, no valve lash adjustments. as long as you're running the correct length pushrod zip them down until it bottoms out and give it 22ft lbs. I like to turn the motor until the lifter is on the base circle of the cam, but it's not necessary.

Here is the tightening sequence on the rockers. This is what I used on mine. You'd probably be ok not following it, but I like to be safe. Post # 34 in the following link or just scroll down to see the pic, should go right to it if you do click.

Edit- this has you tighten the rockers while they're on the base circle of the cam like mentioned above.
And because not eveyone likes to click on links:

my guess is either you installed the wrong lifters and they are too tall or somehow you messed up reinstalling the valve train. because that engine is clearly turning over and has 0 compression.

Sounds like your push rods are too long, did you compare them to your old ones?

I would guess these rockers just tighten down right? dont have to do a sequence like the ol SBC's i thought?! Perhaps you over tightened them.

Correct me if im wrong, but ive seen many vids of people just torquing the rocker nuts down regardless of TDC or crank position. Guy did a cam swap and push rod swap and just tightened the rockers down to spec and buttoned up the engine.

You didnt break anything more than likely, just missing compression.
I tightened them down to spec according to the book and ended up bending 1/2 of my pushrods so I was real leery of cranking down on the rocker arms. Going to go home today and pull the valve covers.

I did that when I was putting it back together and bent the pushrods when I tried to "horse" the engine over with my torque wrench on the crank nut.

the pushrods are the exact same length and the old ones. I'm going to find out today...I dont scare very easy but I'm a little nervous about cranking down on the rocker arms and ruin my cam.

I never pulled the cam, I just swapped the lifters out.

the rocker arms are the only part of the valves that I've changed..the lifters are per chevy part numbers.

yeah they were exactly the same size. My hope is that the rocker arms arent tight enough because I didnt torque them to spec..but it seems like I should still have compression even if the rocker arms werent installed because the valves should be seated..

You were bending pushrods when tightening down the rockers? Either your lifters are too tall or aren't installed all the way, or the pushrods are too long, or you forgot to install the rocker pedestal.
