Default it's a race truck now, i just pulled the air

everything under the hood added up to 29lb's 9oz. i was hopeing for more but it does open up some new mods.

i am 99% sure i can fit my old 5.3 radiator up front now. it is about twice as big as the radiator i have up there now

lots of room for a 4" or larger down pipe now

Interesting on the radiator. Did they go smaller with the 4.8 in 03? My 4.8 was the same as the 5.3 for 2000 anyway. I have had a 6.0 one in there for a while now though.

The other Jim said you wouldn't do it.

Greg - He's talking about using the 5.3L radiator as a heat exhchanger for the intercooler.

yeah, sorry, i have a radiator from a small dodge car for my heat exchanger now, if i can get the 5.3 unit in there is it alot bigger and it will be sealed against the radiator so air will actualy be drawn thru it by the fans. i think it will kick ***.

I figured all the air stuff would have added up to more than that. Can you tell a difference besides sweeting your *** off? I wonder if the compressor had any drag even when it wasnt engaged ...

I think you should take it bacl to the track and see what you can do.

Did you get those tires hooking better yet?

Would you be willing to sell the one you got in there now if it does fit?

cant tell the diference since it doesn't have a tranny in it. i blew up my tranny when i went out to try and hook better with those tires, i think i made some progress but never got to really hammer on it.

the heat exchanger i have in there now is just a radiator from a small car, i got it at the junk yard for $30 or so. i do have the original serab heat exchanger too. i would sell that if anyone wanted it.

Had you thought about plumbing that A/C to your heat exchanger, since you didn't want it for comfort anyway?
