if it is a 09', it is a ly6 I think. I do not see many, but did notice the head castings were a different number than 317. they should be 58x. Isuzu has been using gm gas motors for years, and would be a good place to look for a 6.0.

The reluctor wheel has to be phased properly. Goodson makes the tool to do this but The tool alone cost about as much as the conversion box. Not to mention some times getting the wheel can be a PITA some times there out of stock and not easy to find. they usually run around $20-$25

In order to swap the reluctor wheel you heat the wheel were it contacts the crank and it pulls right off. same thing to put it on Pre heat heat it to the recomended heat which I believe was like 450* and slide it on using the tool to line it up.
I thought that I read more than once that some of the main cap bolts were TTY...oh well...

Everything that I've ever seen or read says that the mains are all TTY.

Yea, I remember wanting to pull the bottom end of my LQ9 apart to check it out, then I found out that I'd have to replace the bolts, which kills the plans of having a "budget build". So I figured that I'd just slap it together and run with it....the shortblock only has 27k and looks clean as hell...

i just put a ls3 in a 03 vette and the first converter box from Lingenfelter didn't work but call them and they sent a new one and it works great i got one comein for my l92 going in my truck its 250 for the box and is alot easier than changeing the wheel out if they press the wheel on wrong your fucked and if there is no miles i wouldn't take the main and rod caps off
