I am swapping a 2004 LQ4 into a 2000 Chevy 2500. Is the newer intake better than the 2000 intake? If so, how could I adapt the drive by wire intake to the cable drivn throttle body on my 2000?

 

Same intake between those years.

 

Is there something better I should be looking for? My build is a mild one. Its my daily driver and work pickup so it needs to be capable of towing. 6.0 at 10.3-1 compression, lpp long tubes, mildly ported 243 heads, ported and polished tb, 42lb injectors, EPS cam 218/226 at .050 advanced 4 degrees, and a yank 2600 stall converter.

 

a TBSS intake would be a good upgrade

 

What is the TBSS intake and what vehicles can they be found on? How difficult is it to adapt it to an earlier vehicle with a cable driven throttle body?
