I would have to go with a good flowing filter and a replacement tube, then do some of the free airbox mods from the site. I have had three different types on three vehicle and none really helped like they clamied. Do a search for some of the mods.

Default Air Intake

Go With A Trueflow, I've Had Three Gen Iii Powered Vehicles And Each One Gets A Trueflow, It's Dyno Proven. Beware, Don't Get A System That Leaves An Exposed Filter, These Supposed Cold Air Kits Should Be Called Hot Air Kits.

Honestly, most of the intake systems produce pretty close gains on the dyno. If you want something cheap do it yourself...

I would go with the AEM Brute Force Intake system I have it on my 2005 GMC 5.3L. I can tell a noticeable diffrance in power and it sounds great to makes the engine sound throughty and mellow.
