Default Opinions on STS kit?

Who else besides myself thinks that this kit is just a hair over priced? I mean come on, there is no fabrication to this kit, no headers, no intercooler with base kit, no injectors, just a turbo, a lil piping, a waste gate, blow off valve, and an oil pump. I get kinda tired of everyone charging an arm and a leg for every damn thing. Not trying to bash a sponsor just giving an opinion.

If people are willing to pay it, they can charge whatever they want. If it was easy to make, some other company could undercut their price by a few hundred dollars and sell the bejeezus out of the kits (see pacesetter headers vs. everyone else).

Air filter located under bed! That I don't like. The oil return tube going through the filler cap looks like someone rigged that up really quick. Don't like that either.
I'd rather use a front mount turbo.
I don't know whats going on with Livernois, but that was an awesome kit for the money!
There is a new company out making front mount turbos for our trucks.
It's called Trick Performance Products. They are a sponsor.
Another sponsor, Nelson Performance recommends their kit.
You might want to look into them. I don't believe Tricks web-site is up and going correctly right now, so you may just want to call them and have them send you a product brochure of the kit that is for your truck.

You gotta pay to play man. A front mount is going to be 1500 more and you still wont get injectors, or FMIC. Start saving your pennies.

I have money to spend, I just think that people charge way more than things are worth these days.

You got to remember its not just the parts you are paying for. You are paying for that guys house, the time he put into making the kit, the time he put into marketing it, the money he put into marketing the product. You arent jsut paying for the parts

I figured I'd pay full price for a kit up front. See what the kit was and make my own from then on. I'll still have to buy a few parts from sts.

I don't know, there sure is alot of nicely bent coated Pipe with a sts kit.
I'm kinda glad not everyone likes the sts kit. I like being different (and fast).....Now go buy a front mound and start cracking manifolds. lol
