Default intake manifold gaskets??

Is our intake manifold o-ringed or does it use the 8 individual gaskets like the ls1/6 intake? I have all the other necessary gaskets/bolts for my head/cam swap this weekend but I dont know about the intake gaskets. I know they are replaceable on the ls1/ls6 but none of the 'howto' articles I have read make any mention of changing them. Do I need to change mine?? If so anyone have a p/n?

You shouldn't need to change them. As long as you don't drag them across a rough concrete floor or a bed of nails or something, they will be fine.

For no more than they cost I would replace them. We get trucks in above the 50,000 mile mark with leaking intake gaskets at times. Causes a ses light and misfire on cold starts. It's too inexpensive not to do since your gonna have the intake off.

i might add that the gm service manual says to only use intake gaskets ONCE. once they crush, they dont seal good the second time. i compared my used gaskets to my new intake gasket, and it was night and day difference

I stand corrected ... I'd say replace them then ... in that case, anyone got a part number for them?

Well if they are the same as the ls1 the pn is 12533587 and they are more expensive than the head gaskets. $50 for a set of 8 of those little suckers(this is internet pricing). I am going to the dealer at lunch today and see how much the are there.

John... I haven't touched them yet. My plan is to start on them tomorrow evening.
