Get a 98 Fbody water pump, the water outlet comes straight out to the front of the motor for clearance on your throttle cable and it has a bolt on pulley that you can space out to line up with your accessories, take off the idler pulley by the alternator and grind the aluminum bracket until it clears your throttle body. Your injectors and fuel rail will work fine, although the truck rail sticks up kinda high it is still functional. You will need to change to electric fans, your stock air box stuff will work fine. You will also need a new belt. Its not as hard as everyone claims that it is, im running the Weiand aluminum intake on mine. It looks alot nicer under the hood, you dont see that big *** intake sticking up. Total price for the swap:

98 Fbody water pump- $130 reman NAPA
98 Fbody bolt on pulley- $15 new GM

I have to disagree. Though I'm running the FAST intake, Blacksheep saw near .5 seconds come off of his times when he switched to the LS6 intake. I dropped .2 seconds but broke a lifter on that run, so it should be a more noticeable drop when I get everything worked out.

Like i said alot of people dont think this swap helps but there's enough info out there to prove that it helps performance. I personally know about Blacksheep dropping .5 with the swap from stock truck to Weiand intake, because i have the motor that did that in my truck now.

Because the fbody water pump doesnt have a way to hook up your clutch fan.
