Question Installing LS1 intake and Headers do i need?...

hey ok so im installing a LS1 intake on a 01 sierra and shorty headers now on the stock manifolds it has that metal hose and the EGR valve on it that goes into the stock intake...now my question is can i get the headers that do not have the EGR inlet and just delete the EGR all together or so i need it?..please help! and i think on the LS1 intake the big hole that is right behind where the throttle body bolts to is where the EGR hose goes ??..just block that off or do i have to run a EGR for the truck to run right?

yeah you can delete egr. just block the hole on the intake. it will throw a code until its tuned to run without the egr but it wont hurt anything to drive it.
