Installed a new MAF truck falls on its face?
I finally bought a new stock maf for my truck a couple of days ago, my old one was descreened. It feels MUCH better now, more bottom end and pulls a little harder than before off the line. BUT, the damn truck falls on its face when shifting from 1-2nd, and even worse from 2-3rd when flooring it. Is this toque management? If it is , it really is starting to **** me off . On the second day after I had installed the new maf I had already put about 300 miles on the truck . The truck actually chirped the tires from 1-2nd at one time but it feels like it wants to really shift harder but won't. WTF is going on here?
Oh yeah , I had been running the descreened maf for about 32,000 miles if that means anything.

Any changes to air and fuel metering equipment will screw with the computer. It thinks that all is running the same, then wammo, the numbers are off. They say that the computer takes a full week to adapt to new performance parts, or changes to metering equipment.

My guess is that it is TM. If it chirped the tires, the ECM may be pulling timing so that doesn't happen again. It's the ECM's way of saving your drive line. I have a little stumble from 1-2 and a little more from 2-3. It's not bad enough that it bugs me yet. I was thinking about getting a Billet servo and was wondering if the TM would try and reduce the hardness of the shifts or if the ECM can even control what the servo does.
