If there is no missfire...they are on correct...the power gain is minimal, the wire is only like 5-6 inches long...

blinking check engine light indicates a misfire

the ignition system in our trucks is just fine.

you would know if you had a misfire dude! I dont think there is a person on the planet that could tell the difference between stock wires and larger gauge wires.

MSD was a good choice though, I got MSD wires a few months back because I was planning on getting LT's and the larger gaunge and better wire works better with the added heat from the headers.

I installed some MSD wires when I did a tune-up on my truck after the initial purchase (it's used). Just for kicks, I measured the resistance of the stock wires vs. the MSD ones. There was a significant difference between the two.

Would you actually feel any difference from them?? Probably not. Perhaps a tenth or two of gas mileage increase given everything else stays the same, but again that wasn't my intentions when purchasing them.

Yea, you're not going to notice any power increase, but the wires will be good to have if you install headers that require you to get creative with the spark plug wire boots. I've been running MSD wires on my rig for oh, 7+ years now and they're holding up great. I've had them on and off numerous times while performing mods, and the terminals stay tight and keep coming back for more. I kept my stockers as a backup just in case, and I recommend that you do the same...this way, if you ever burn or break a wire (breaks happen during removal), you have a backup so you're not stuck. Also, if you haven't done so already, get some dialectric grease and put it in the boots of the wires where they go on the plugs to help prevent the boots from seizing to the porcelain on the spark plugs.
