Installed a Meziere on 09 Silverado
Bought a Meziere from Scoggin/Dickey before the big price increase. I put one on my 99 Silverado and it's still working good after nearly 10 years and 90K on the clock. My water temp dropped nearly 20F(installed a 160F thermostat). You have to install a fixed idler from the F body(smaller diameter) and cut about 6" from the top hose to get it to fit. I triggered off of the ACC/Misc fuse socket since there is no longer a fuel pump relay on the Silverado to trigger from.

Don Meziere told me 11 to 12 amps. It has an inline 20amp waterproof fuse. I don't expect to have to touch that pump again for at least 100K miles. It put about 10hp(which was being used to spin the belt driven water pump) on the ground where I want it. The price of these pumps is rediculous. It was too high when I bought this second one, but now it's out of sight. I don't care if it is CNCed billet aluminum. It's either powdered coated or anodized I not sure which, but regardless it's too expensive. Fortunately for me I can afford it, but most people can't afford a $600.00 or $700.00 water pump and that's the sale price.

I paid only $440. That's the best price for that pump. You can't get it at that price anymore. If you look on the Meziere site it's like $699.00. That's crazy. You can use the same belt. There is a pulley on the pump, but it just free wheels. You have to get a fixed idle from an F body because the OEM pulley on the trucks is too large. You cut about 6" of hose where it slides onto the pump neck. You could use a relay, but I didn't this time. I used the ACC/Misc fuse socket which is an extra unused fuse. If you have a slightly older truck that still uses a fuel pump relay you can trigger off of that.
