Installed Hooker Aerochamber muffler on L31/5.7 OBS Tahoe
Recap...
I used to have a used Dynomax catback on my 99 Tahoe, definitlely gained some power from the swap. But thte catback was pretty old and it rusted apart.
I put the stock catback on and the truck lost some power. It was nice and quiet but the acceleration lost something.
I just had a Hooker Aerochamber put on the truck on Saturday.
DB's - not that noticeable at idle, a bit louder than stock but no crazy
Cruise - has a definitely rumble, but not annoying
WOT - Louder for sure, and the truck pulls good now up to redline
Only negative is that the stock muffler's inlets and outlets are not the same height, so my tailpipe had to be modified.
