Installed Dynatech Headers and getting SES light
#1
Hey guys,
I just installed the dynatech headers on my 2001 Silverado with a 5.3 and keep getting an SES light. The codes are 0171 and 0174: System too lean, right bank and left bank. I've cleared them out three times now and I'm assuming this has something to do with the O2 sensors. I also got a 0401 - EGR, insufficient flow detected - one time but cleared that out and haven't seen it since. Any ideas or sugestions?

Maybe the ECM just needs to get use to the headers, it will adjust for A/F from the signal it gets from the 02 sensors. Did you disconnect the battery for a while to reset the ECM? It will help it learn faster.
