Nice clean install, your harness looks factory! The a/c wire that gets tapped into with the nelson harness (dk green) is a positive signal...the lo speed/ high speed w/ ac and 1 fan high w/ a/c is all accomplished through the relays I assume (haven't torn into the harness to look deeper into it), since all the PCM does is provide a ground at a certain temp. I'm sure you know this already though

When my compressor/ elec fan kicks on, my lights dim and the voltmeter dips, but then it comes back up (this only happens when stopped). If I'm moving, no probs. I'm actually considering wiring in a manual switch w/ relay into the a/c signal wire so I can turn it off when cruising on the highway...(I'm too buzy obsessing over my tapping/slapping noises to be concerned with the elec fan/voltage deal right now)

I'm curious to see how you get it worked out with the pin33 deal...should be real cool when it's all done!

Controlling the without PCM support is easy.

I am trying to get it to work like factory with the PCM.

... lock circuit. When in OD the fans will not operate?

Hey B, did you add a manual bypass switch?

Instead of the A/c relay on the Nelson harness, I ran it to a manual switch and tapped into the cigarette lighter (12V+ trip for the relay).

When the switch is activated, 1 fan is on high. If the pcm has both fans running low and I hit the switch both fans run high.

I don't know if this is useless info for your setup but it was nice and easy.

It's not surprising to see that the OE fans draw less current than the FAL's. The OE's have a requirment to stay within a certain current setting. If the OE fans consumed more than 10 amps I would be surprised.

I had to use TWO 40 amp fuses (one per fan) in heavy duty fuse holders. I kept blowing the 30 amp each time the fans turned on.
