Default install prices are these deals or rip offs

i have a 03 rcsb silvy 5.3 i was quoted 1200 to buy and install eaton posi and 3.73's does that sound about rite? and was quoted about 300 - 400 to install yank 3000 stall

The Torque converter price sounds about right... My buddy has his done for 325...

I had gears put in for around 325 or so..... But I didnt have the bearings so with parts it ended up caosting my around 500... But I didnt know that those bearings were only like 45$ they told me it cost them 200 so.......

at 1st i wanted someone to install my eaton. but i did alot of research on how to install it. i saved alot of money doing it myself.

as for my yank, a friend of a friend has his own tranny shop so i got it done pretty cheap.

i bought my eaton and 4.10 package off of ebay for 575 with everything included except fluid, i paid a friend of mine 180 and helped him with the install. i installed my own converter and servos in my garage with basic hand tools a floor jack with transmission adapter.paid 400 for my used yank 3200 from a member on here.

TQ prices are good, posi install is WAAAAY out of line unless it included the price of the eaton unit itself. Even then you could do better...

The rear sounds high. You figure $600 for parts if you get a deal, then about $3-400 labor. When I do them it is usually right about $900-1000.

It depnends where you are located. Labor for just a carrier change is 75 around here. Gear changes are $125-200.

I Just Put A 2600 Yank Tc In For A Friend I Charge 200 Just For Tc For Rear I Normally Charge You Buy Everything 300 I Use My Shims. The Best Place To Buy Bearings Is At The Industrial Places Bring The Numbers Witch You Can Get At Any Dealer And They Can Corss Them And Save Alot $$$$$$$$$
I Paid Less Than 75.00 For All 6 Bearings

thanks for the help 1200 includes the posi itself and they said bearings n labor n somin else i dunno does anyone use royal purple in there rear is it worth the money?
