instaling eaton??
#2
woo hoo, went out to get the paper and there was an eaton siting on my porch. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> got a couple of quesitions on the install.
what do i torque the caps to? what about the ring bolts? do i need to use any locktite on any of those bolts? can i tap the new bearings on or do they need to be presed on? the shim kit came with 2 thick but smaller diameter shims, what are they for?
what should the clearance/lash be between the gears and since i am not touching the pinion, once i have the lash set shouldn't the pattern be good?
guess thats more than a couple of questions, thanks in advance
