Default Injectors

I've installed my 224 .560 cam this past week and have been working on getting it dialed in. I noticed that at WOT my stock injectors are running around 102% DC This wont be lasting too long hopefully, so what choices do I have. I see the 8.1 injectors are rated at 31lbs, with the 8.1 marines being higher I believe. My plans are to run this thing N/A for awhile and then go with a 150 wet shot of nitrous, so what I'm asking is ...will the 31lb injectors be enough for a 150 shot or would I be better off getting a set of 42-44 lbers

To the best of my knowledge, if you run a wet shot, it won't affect your injectors. That would only be if you were running a dry shot.

As far as na. I'm in the same boat and I have some 8.1L injectors waiting to be installed. I'm just too lazy

Keep in mind that anything over 100% IDC is just a measurement of how much longer they need to stay open per pulse, but can't. Your injectors are static, open (all 8) and dumping fuel the whole time at that rpm.
You need bigger injectors now. A wet shot will require some sort of pump upgrade. Which you will want anyway when you get the 60lb injectors you need.

Why do you think he needs 60 pounders? Seems a bit excessive for only a bolt on engine with a 150 wet shot.

He doesn't need them...yet. I didn't need an inline pump/voltage booster...then I did, I didnt need 42#..then I did...I didn't need 60#... then I did. Just trying to save him a step or two. Plus he needs to get his IDC way down, below 80%. 42's will get the job done, 60's will put him ahead for the next mod...because we all know it never stops.

60 pounders??? damn... but yeah I'm wanting to keep DC around 80% max, so I think. My plans include some head work and the 150 wet shot, and the motor is basiclly full bolt on now. What kinda pump upgrade would I be looking at, something like a 255lph pump??

Ok I know what you mean, "Do it right the first time."

Just something to think about: I bought my 8.1L injectors for $32 shipped on ebay with 5 miles on the set.
